Day Wise Itinerary Download

1Day Arrival in Shimla + Sightseeing in Shimla

Our Himachal family tour starts from your arrival in Chandigarh. Our tour representative will pick you up from Chandigarh Railway Station/ Chandigarh Airport. We will now drive by cab and reach Shimla. On the way, you can enjoy the views of the landscapes and mountains with your family. On arrival in Shimla, you will check into the pre-booked hotel and then rest for some time. We will now begin our sightseeing for the day in Shimla.

We will visit the famous tourist attractions in Shimla on this day. First, we will visit Viceregal Lodge, which is also called Rashtrapati Niwas. You will be amazed by viewing the British architecture of this historic building in Shimla. Today many academic institutions are located in this building. Some famous ones are the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Himachal Pradesh High Court, Himachal Pradesh University, etc.

Next, we will visit ancient temples in Shimla like Sankat Mochan Temple and Jakhu Temple. Both these temples are highly revered temples. Lord Hanuman is the main Hindu deity of both these temples.

In the evening, we will have time to visit Mall Road. You can take relaxing walks on Mall Road and explore the shops here. You can dine in a restaurant or café and spend your leisurely time in Shimla. You can go shopping for handicrafts and souvenirs in the shops. Later we will drop you off at the hotel and you can have an overnight stay.

2Day Shimla to Kufri

As per our Himachal tour packages for family, we will visit Kufri on this day. This trip will be like an excursion from Shimla to Kufri. We will start our day after breakfast and then drive to Kufri. This hill station near Shimla is famous for its scenic views, luxury resorts, and amusement parks. Kufri is located 13 km from Shimla.

You will visit the Himalayan Wildlife Zoo, which has rare Himalayan animals and birds. You can spot the Himalayan Monal Pheasant, bears, antelopes, and other animals found only in the Himalayas. You can drive a short distance from the zoo and come across Green Valley, which is a scenic viewpoint. The view of the greenery and mountains from this point will make you thrilled. You can stay here at Green Valley for some time and take selfies and photographs.

Later we can visit some other viewpoints here. You can visit Kufri Fun World, where you can do activities at your own cost. Later we will return to Shimla. You can visit Jakhoo Temple, which is a temple with a huge statue of Lord Hanuman. Next, we will visit Christ Church, which is a church built in the British era. It has Gothic architecture and is considered to be the second oldest church in North India.

Scandal Point is the next tourist attraction in Shimla that we will visit. This is a viewpoint that offers scenic views of the mountains and valleys. We will take you to visit Gaiety Theatre, which is an old cultural center in Shimla. You can now take a walk on The Ridge, which is a huge place with many shops, restaurants, and cafes. You can spend some relaxing time on the Ridge, and view the scenic landscapes of Shimla.

After this full day of sightseeing in Kufri and Shimla, we will drop you to your hotel in Shimla. You can stay in the hotel for the night.

3Day Shimla to Manali + Sightseeing on the way

As per our itinerary of the family tour packages for Himachal Pradesh, we will check-out from the hotel in Shimla. We will now visit Manali, our next tourist destination. On the way, you can visit some famous places coming on this route. Some popular ones are Hanogi Mata Temple, Kullu Valley, Pandoh Dam, Sunder Nagar Lake, Vaishno Devi Temple, and Kullu Rafting Point. You can visit the Shawl Factory and view the artisans weaving shawls with their own hands.

We will continue our drive to Manali. You can enjoy the views of the Beas River flowing parallel to our route. On arrival in Manali, you can check into the hotel and then overnight stay after dinner.

4Day Rohtang Pass Excursion

Our family package tour Himachal enters its fourth day. Our itinerary says that we will visit Rohtang Pass and Solang Valley today. This excursion or day trip will be one of the major highlights of this Himachal Pradesh trip. Please note that if Rohtang Pass is closed to tourists, we will visit up to Snow Line.

Rohtang Pass is a high mountain pass that connects Manali to the rugged lands of Lahaul and Spiti Valley. At Rohtang Pass, you can enjoy many activities like snow scooters, skiing, horse rides, and yak rides at your own expense. Please note that all these activities are subject to availability also. Kids will love these fun activities in Rohtang Pass.

On the way, you can enjoy the beautiful views of waterfalls, glaciers, and tiny villages such as Gulaba, Kothi, and Marhi. The sight of the roaring Rahalla Falls will thrill you. After a full day of fun activities and sightseeing, you will return to Manali and stay in the hotel for the night.

5Day Manali to Chandigarh

As per today’s itinerary of Himachal family packages, we will check-out from the hotel in Manali after breakfast. We will proceed to Chandigarh, which will be a journey time of around 6-7 hours. You can check into the hotel in Chandigarh on arrival. Then if time permits, you can do leisurely activities like shopping, boating in Sukhna Lake, or relaxing in the hotel.

6Day Sightseeing in Chandigarh + Departure from Chandigarh

This is the final day of the Himachal Pradesh tour package for family. We will begin this day after having breakfast and then visit the famous places in Chandigarh. Rock Garden is a famous garden here, which has various installations made of industrial waste and scrap products. This garden is also called Nek Chand's Rock Garden, in memory of the founder Nek Chand.

Sukhna Lake is just walking distance from the Rock Garden. Here, you can enjoy boating, relaxing, and walking along the banks of the lake. The lake is a very popular tourist spot in Chandigarh. After this sightseeing is over, we will drop you to Chandigarh Railway Station/ Chandigarh Airport. You can board a train/ flight to your hometown. Confirmation Policy

Upon booking, the traveller will receive a confirmation voucher via email, within 24 hours.
In the special cases of slots not being available, feasible alternatives will be provided to the customer, in regards to the customer’s preference. In such cases, a new voucher would be sent via email, consisting of the new travel details.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation made before 20 days prior to the date of departure, would levy a 30% of total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Due to any restrictions such as sudden government policies or regulations, health hazards, medical emergencies, or unprecedented weather conditions, activities and tours may be nonoperational and be cancelled. In cases such as these, operators will attempt to cater to the traveller an alternate, which is feasible in nature. However, any refund would not be catered.
